Choosing A Shape That Is Yours, Truly

As with all things in life there will always be a most common size or measurement. For those of us who land right in the middle of the bell curve of nipples, this is Shape 4! Here are some guidelines for self-selecting your nipple shape.

Tip #1

When looking at your nipples, what do you notice first - the width or length? Scroll through the options and familiarize yourself with the variations of width and height. Now consider where you fall on the spectrum of nipple shapes to choose an option that best matches you.

Tip #2

If your nipples rest deeper in your breasts or are shorter before you feed your baby, gently pull or tug your nipple before choosing a shape for your Emulait bottle.

Tip #3

Your nipples may not be identical! This is totally normal. You want to choose the closest shape that we offer, but it doesn’t have to be precise.

Tip #4

Have you exclusively pumped in the past? If so, you may want to choose a longer nipple. Mothers who have exclusively pumped may have longer nipples than before they started pumping.

Tip #5

The Emulait nipple you receive will be the closest match to your anatomy from our product range, in order to offer your baby a nipple that is as familiar as can be.

    Cleaning & Sanitizing

    For cleaning, fully disassemble all parts. Wash all parts in hot water and dish soap. Rinse and dry thoroughly, ensuring all cavities are clean. To clean nipple, invert the nipple and use the Emulait bottle brush to clean between the fibers.

    Alternatively, we recommend cleaning and sanitizing your Emulait products in the dishwasher. The Emulait Dishwasher Basket provides a quick and convenient way to store and wash your bottle parts securely.

    General Safety

    Always check food temperature before feeding.

    Dispose of bottle components at the first signs of damage or structural weakness.

    Always check the nipples for signs of wear and replace when damaged.

    Do not use a microwave oven to heat the bottle as microwave ovens can create hotspots in milk or formula.

    The bottle components are not toys and should not be given to children to play with or suck on.

  • FAQ's -

    How do I assemble or disassemble my Emulait bottles? 

    To assemble: Insert the Responsive Flow Valve into the Emulait nipple and pop into place. Fill the bottle and twist the nipple on.

    To disassemble: Untwist the nipple from the bottle, press the Responsive Flow Valve out and your Emulait bottle is ready for cleaning.

    What is the Responsive Flow Valve for?

    The Responsive Flow Valve inserts into your Emulait nipple and supports responsive feeding. The valve is designed to respond to baby’s suckle and facilitate paced feeding.

    The Emulait bottle should never be used without the Responsive Flow Valve inserted into the nipple.

    Which bottle warmers are compatible with the Emulait feeding system?
